Judy Warne & Friends:
Small Bronzes

Date
9 December - 17 January 2016

Opening
Wednesday 9 December 2015, 5:00pm

Judy Warne & Friends presents local sculpture at its best. The exhibition consists of a number of Judy's recent works completed for this year's 'Lost in Sculpture' event as well as selected pieces from her popular White Silence series.

Judy's work is complimented with the inclusion of other bronze sculptures; from local artist Trevor Flinn, plus several from private collections (including a piece by Inge King) and other small bronzes from the Hamilton Gallery collection.

Judy's work focuses on the powerful and menacing image of the crow, which Judy uses to symbolise her views of social injustice. Strips of bark have been brilliantly shaped by the artist using the bronzing process into timeless works of art.

Judy teams her experience as a farmer, and a person closely connected to the land, first in the Mallee and later at Woodhouse West near Dunkeld with her background in art, silversmithing, ceramics and sculpture.
