IMANTS TILLERS
THE PHILOSOPHY OF DOUBT

Date
21 July – 12 August 2018

With his signature multiple canvasboards, Imants Tillers’ paintings explore themes relating to place and locality.

In The Philosophy of Doubt Imants Tillers looks for common ground between aspects of contemporary Western Desert art and the metaphysical paintings of 20th century Italian master, Giorgio de Chirico.

By exploring themes within a modern European aesthetic and ideology together with an interest in Indigenous Australian art, Tillers forms a bridge between two cultures.
