Cyanotype Workshop with Emma Armstrong-Porter
Join multidisciplinary artist Emma Armstrong-Porter in this three-hour workshop exploring cyanotype printing, a historic camera-less photographic printing process known for its distinctive blue tones. Participants will learn the fundamentals of this technique before creating their own unique cyanotype prints using sunlight or UV exposure. Each participant will leave with handmade prints using premium materials and fine art paper.
Emma “Ruby” Armstrong-Porter is an emerging artist and educator based on Dja Dja Wurrung Country. Often employing an autoethnographic perspective, their art discusses mental illness, environmentalism, and human connectedness. Armstrong-Porter co-founded NOIR Darkroom, a photographic darkroom and gallery in Naarm/Melbourne, and has exhibited widely since 2010.
