The HG Foundation was established in 2024 to raise philanthropic funds in support of the construction of the New Hamilton Gallery. Its inaugural members are among Australia’s leading art and culture experts, each with strong connections to Hamilton and the wider region. For more than sixty years, the Gallery has benefited from generous benefaction. This legacy of support has led to the formation of a skills-based board, committed to ensuring the successful realisation of the New Hamilton Gallery and its lasting impact on the community.

HAMILTON GALLERY TRUST

The Trust has generously contributed more than six hundred works of art to our internationally renowned collection.

From the first painting acquired in 1962 to more recent additions, the Trust’s thoughtful and strategic collecting has helped shape one of regional Victoria’s most distinctive and celebrated art collections.

We are proud to be supported by one of the oldest and most successful gallery trusts in Australia, an organisation that has championed the growth of Hamilton Gallery for over sixty years.

The Trust plays a vital role in the ongoing development of our collection by managing member contributions and actively acquiring important works of art.
