BY CAR
Hamilton is 295 kilometers west of Melbourne and is an easy 3.5-hour drive. Some of the major road networks servicing Hamilton include;
B140 - Hamilton Highway (Provides connections to Mortlake & Geelong)
B160 – Glenelg Highway (Provides connections to Ballarat, Mt Gambier and Casterton)
A200 – Henty Highway (Provides connections to Portland and Horsham)
C184 – Hamilton Port Fairy Road (Provides connections to Port Fairy & Macarthur)
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
V-line
V-line buses run from the Southern Cross Train Station in Melbourne to Hamilton. The Hamilton V-line coach stop is located at the Hamilton Railway Station.

Note – There is no passenger train service direct to Hamilton.
Taxis
Taxis operate a regular service throughout Greater Hamilton. Taxis can be booked by calling (03) 5571 1200.
Town Bus Service
The Hamilton town bus service operates 6 days per week Monday to Saturday, except on Public Holidays.
Tickets are purchased from the driver on the bus, on the day. This service runs every one and a half hours at each stop.

FREE ENTRY
Guided tours of the permanent collection and current exhibitions for both small and large groups are available by appointment.
Enhance your group’s visit with a one-hour private tour, led by a knowledgeable guide who can provide an insider’s view of the gallery. Tours may be customised to focus on a specific exhibition or highlight of the collection. There is wheelchair access and lift to first floor.
