HELLO HAMISH

Hello Hamish, a focus show for Hamish Elsmann

Hamish is a familiar face at Hamilton Gallery. Every other day he visits to play the grand piano upstairs and often brings in a new drawing he has made. Over the past two years, staff have been collecting these works, and his visits have become a part of the gallery’s daily rhythm.

To celebrate Hamish’s remarkable creativity, Hamilton Gallery is proud to present his first focus show, Hello Hamish, opened recently by Hamish himself with an intimate piano recital.

UPDATE: Hamilton Gallery has had such a wonderful response to Hello Hamish that this very special focus show has been extended until Sunday 9 November! If you haven’t seen it yet, this is your chance. And for those of you who have already visited, you must come back. You will now find a new series on display: Hamish Draws Victor, featuring eight new charcoal sketches created after Hamish attended our popular life drawing class with Victor Caulfield, the subject of our current portrait exhibition Seeking Victor.

These new works showcase Hamish’s distinctive style and playful experimentation. Don't miss it!!

EXHIBITON DATES: October - 9 November 2025
